Hours per week: 30 hours per week

Monday - Fridays: 9.00am - 3.30pm (includes a 30 minute lunch break)

Term time only plus teacher training days (39 weeks)

Grade E-F (Points 5-10) £21, £24,054.00 per annum pro rata which equates to an actual starting salary of £14,915.71 rising to £16,629.54 per annum (39 weeks, 30 hours)

Core purpose


To be responsible to the Finance Manager in supporting the efficient administration of finance in accordance with the requirement of the Governors, ESFA and external auditors.


Specific duties

  • Input orders and invoices onto SIMS finance system (FMS)
  • Liaise with reception and the caretaking team to ensure delivered goods are allocated to the correct departments in school
  • Administer the banking of monies
  • Coordinate the hiring of school facilities (lettings) and internal room bookings
  • Liaise with Site staff to ensure the team are advised of any specific arrangements for lettings and room bookings
  • Keep site services calendar accurate with regards to lettings and internal room bookings
  • Prepare invoices for lettings and chasing debtors as required
  • Receipt all payments onto SIMS FMS and liaise with the Finance Manager to facilitate reconciliation of the same

General Finance Duties

  • Assist with the administration of School Fund and Parent Pay
  • Assist the Finance Manager with the administration associated with Bank Reconciliation
  • Assist the Finance Manager with other administrative tasks as required

General duties and responsibilities

  • Typing of letters, reports, and general correspondence
  • To be proficient in all ICT function to include Office outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Distribute documents and materials within the school
  • Other general office / administrative duties when requested by Line Manager
