The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an experienced client facing Senior Project Managers (construction) to work within the award winning Capital and Planning Section of the Estates Department.
The role will provide lead PM services to deliver capital construction and major refurbishment projects within the Trusts acute building stock to the highest standard.
The Estates Department has an exciting and ambitious Estates Strategy and this senior role is pivotal to its successful delivery.
Candidates should demonstrate experience in commercial awareness and understanding of procurement routes to market including good governance arrangements.You will be redirected to Trac to apply for the vacancy.
The ability to effectively manage construction contractors and design professionals to ensure projects are delivered within the parameters of time, cost and quality is a fundamental requirement.
The successful candidates will form part of a multi-disciplinary Capital Team, reporting into the Assistant Director of Estates (Strategy, Planning & Capital Development) for overall programme delivery.

To commission and Project Manage Major Capital new works Projects on behalf of the Trust. (Provision of specialist Expert professional advice to all major specialist projects.Provide professional project management and financial advice to ensure projects are procured to correct specification, on time and within budget.
Manage a variety of Building and Engineering schemes which involve multi disciplinary teams that include External engaged consultants, contractors and Specialist Services.
The successful candidates will form part of a multi-disciplinary Capital Team, reporting into the Trust Capital Projects Manager responsible for overall programme delivery.
This senior post will be the lead role for the conception, planning and management of the Trust capital schemes giving professional specialist advice to other Senior Estates and staff members of the Trust.
