Emtec Group are thrilled to announce the re-opening of our canteen to our colleagues in our Uddingston Head Office.

We are looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to provide high quality catering services to 50+ employees on a daily basis.

The Role

Preparation of simple hot and cold lunch items
Create a suitable menu and purchase required food and supplies
Set up food service, kitchen, and/or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, check food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; operate cooking equipment as required
Ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times,
Organise and prepare for the next day, including cleaning down etc

What we are looking for

Food Hygiene, Level 2 certificate (City & Guilds.)
Full UK Full UK Driving licence, with access to own transport.
Previous experience in food preparation/food allergens
Experience with suppliers, ordering and inventory control.
Understanding of food service set up and temperature requirements.
Punctual, strong time management and organisation skills
Excellent customer service skills
