  • You will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, up to C-Suite, to implement and manage our programmes.
  • Project: £10bn+ Defence nuclear construction programme based in central Southern England. A 10+ year programme to deliver a manufacturing capability including multiple projects. The programme is in a highly secure site and will require successful candidates to achieve SC+ clearance. This is due to need to work in live and strictly controlled environments that are operating at the highest levels of safety and security. The programme is established and currently in a planning and capability development phase in preparation for the delivery phase to begin in Q1 2026.

    This position is a key part of the Construction Logistics Team that will provide construction logistics support to all construction activity on the Client's sites. The role holder is responsible for ensuring that project construction logistics GIS information is captured and managed in line with Client requirements and is presented to stakeholders in a useable format to inform the Construction Logistics Team's planning and delivery of construction logistics support. The role holder will enjoy significant freedom to engage with the wider sector supply chain to assist with the development of the holistic client's Construction Logistics plan.

    The opportunity : We are now looking to grow our Construction Logistics Team, many of whom work from locations across the UK, whom form part of the client team. The aim of the business is to bring in suitably skilled, experienced and passionate individuals who will thrive and excel as we continue to redefine the boundaries of ambition.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    To capture, analyse and translate construction logistics-related geospatial information into planning and management information for a wide range of stakeholders using GIS systems.

    Ensuring that all construction logistics-related GIS information and associated reporting is presented effectively, efficiently, compliantly and safely.

    Supporting the Construction Logistics Team, the 3rd Party Construction Logistics Partner and the Client's construction projects by ensuring an accurate, timely and common understanding of the construction logistics-related geospatial information in the planning and delivery phases of the Client's programme.

    Functioning as the Construction Logistics Team's eyes and ears on construction logistics-related geospatial information and GIS activity.

    Designing and implementing the construction logistics GIS strategy and plans in the projects within the role holder's portfolio.

    Producing and providing, to the Construction Logistics Team and its stakeholders, project performance, issues, risks and opportunities in relation to construction logistics-related GIS information.

    Liaising with the functional leads within the construction logistics team and external stakeholders to ensure that there is an effective process for the capture, processing and presentation of geospatial information.

    Managing the preparation and provision of construction logistics-related geospatial information reporting information to the Construction Logistics Team, 3rd Party Logistics Partner and wider stakeholders.

    Deliver milestones/objectives set by the Construction Logistics Systems Manager.

    Working as part of an integrated project team that brings together people with One Vision across several companies, Stakeholders and Third Parties.

    Ensuring a safe and collaborative working environment in which people thrive.

    Leading and contributing to multidisciplinary teams in matrix organisations to meet client outcomes.

    Managing and outperforming against the contract (typically NEC4).

    Contributing to the review of project performance and production of reporting to drive continuous improvement.

    Determining the project schedule and activities throughout the project life cycle.

    Developing detailed project budget and forecast cash flows/milestones from approved budget.

    Determining project risks and develop a project risk management plan (RMP), facilitating the risk review process and managing, monitoring, and mitigating project risks through the RMP.

    Preparing monthly reporting, ensure reporting mechanisms are linked to on time on budget delivery and ensure implementation of project management methodology.

    Ensuring that the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority through all stages of the project.

    You have previous experience working as a GIS manager within a construction and/or construction logistics environment.You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
