Role Overview:


The Financial Administration & Reporting Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting our Senior Finance Specialist and CEO with financial administration tasks, including payroll, general financial processes, budgeting and forecasting.


Additionally, this role involves ensuring the company's financial reporting is in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the United Kingdom.

This includes the FCA and HMRC reporting requirements.

This is a part-time role, a total of 16 hours per week.

We are flexible on how these hours are spread during the week, with one day being office-based (we are based next to London Bridge station).


Responsibilities:

The Financial Administrator will support the Finance team with the following activities:


  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Support the processing of invoices, payments, and receipts to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.

Payroll Administration: Support the payroll process as needed.

Bank Reconciliation: Support reconciling company bank statements and address any discrepancies.

Expense Management: Help administer employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Budget Monitoring: Support the monitoring of departmental budgets and provide relevant financial information to management.

Financial Reporting Responsibilities

HMRC reporting: Ensure adherence to HMRC regulations, including tax, VAT, payroll, pensions, P11D, ERS reporting and compliance with relevant tax codes.

FCA reporting: Ensure adherence to FCA reporting and financial compliance requirements, including quarterly and annual reports, completing FCA surveys and monitoring capital requirements.

Financial reporting support: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as needed, including monthly business reviews (MBRs).

Audit support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to financial reporting.

Budget support: Coordinate and support the production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Forecasting: Coordinate and support the maintenance of live financial forecasts, including revenue, gross margin, opex, capital requirements and cashflow.


Desired Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience in financial administration.
  • Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulatory and tax requirements, FCA compliance, HMRC regulations, and financial processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Netsuite experience is an advantage.
  • FCA experience is an advantage.
