Job Description JOB PURPOSE**- Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on the Mobile Maintenance Train fleet.

  • IT literate including basic knowledge of Microsoft systems.
  • Calibration & understanding of rail plant operating systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Report any defects found on machine & carry out repairs within required competency level for the role, as directed.
  • Undertake maintenance activities in accordance with the Vehicle Maintenance Instruction (VMI)
  • Manage VMI schedules and machine repairs using Network Rails Fleet Asset Management System (FAMS)
  • Periodically complete audits of machinebased tools, equipment and spare parts as request by the maintenance manager.
  • To carry out planned maintenance duties in line with company policies & procedures & work instructions.
  • Ensure working environment is maintained as required by 5S.
  • Inform manager of any issues / problems in a timely manner, which are outside your remit of control.
  • Operate machine for maintenance purposes.
  • Ensure regularly updated & compliant with company policies & procedures.
  • Be responsible for the care of company assets in the individual's possession.
  • To undertake training as required.
  • Ensure compliance with competence assessment systems.
  • Flexibility to travel and lodge as required by the company.
  • Flexibility to provide addhoc cover for the night fitter
  • Comply with the Company Code of Conduct.
