    Description

    CHP Service Engineer

    Location: London - Home-based role with travel primarily in London; occasional travel to other locations such as Bath, Newbury, and Southampton. Salary: £44,159 - £56,115 Overtime: 1.5 x Monday - Saturday + 2.0 on Sunday & Bank Holidays, and additional compensation for out-of-hours work between 10pm and 6am. Our client specialises in delivering a diverse range of energy solutions, including District Heating Schemes, on site generation, and highways lighting, aimed at empowering customers to manage their energy consumption effectively. Constantly innovating, they utilise cutting-edge technology across various industries to pave the way for a sustainable energy future. Currently, they are seeking a skilled CHP Engineer to join their UK Solutions team in London. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance of CHP systems, encompassing corrective, preventative, and predictive tasks, as well as the upkeep of associated equipment and facilities such as District Heating plant rooms, pumping and control systems, and heat and electric metering equipment. Collaborating closely with the CHP Team Leader, you will contribute to planning and executing maintenance activities to minimise downtime and ensure uninterrupted service for customers. We are looking for a proactive team player with a strong mechanical engineering background and expertise in gas fired reciprocating engines or generators. The role demands punctuality, reliability, and a continuous learning mindset. Key Requirements
    • Mechanical craft qualification (e.g., C&G, ONC, or HNC).
    • Gas Safe Certificates including COCN1 & IGEM 3.
    • Previous experience in a similar role with exposure to different sites and equipment.
    • Proficiency in gas fired reciprocating engines or generators and rotating equipment maintenance.
    • Ability to dismantle and repair reciprocating engines.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Good IT literacy.
    • High Health & Safety awareness.
    • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
