Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering with a well-known real estate/retail investment and development company on their recruitment of a Financial Accountant.

This role is required to provide accounting support to UK, European and North American teams and the entities they deal with whilst coordinating year-end statutory accounting and tax issues.

This Financial Accountant role day to day will manage relationshipswith auditors liaise with European teams and provide input for overseas holding companies.

This Financial Accountant role requires an individual who has an audit background and is a
qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA).

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Prepare all statutory financial statements (FRS 102 and IFRS) for the UK entities within the group
Liaise with external auditors, statutory auditors, external tax advisors and provide all necessary support to finance management team
Prepare annual consolidation of management companies under FRS 102 and liaise with UK and Group Auditors
Support group relationships with the JV partner provider of accounting and management services for the Luxembourg entities within the group
Provide support in the consolidation of the multiple group consolidated Luxembourg accounts preparation process and attend monthly Luxembourg board meetings
Review statutory accounts, tax returns and documents for filling
Coordinate the provision of information to US accountants for all group entities to ensure compliance
Prepare tax computations for UK entities, various tax returns for US entities
Involved in transfer pricing related matters across the group
Provide adhoc advice relation to accounting and tax matters and ad hoc projects

Required Qualifications & Skills for this role:

ACA qualified accountant with proven post qualification experience
Up to date FRS 102 and IFRS knowledge
Second language other than English is desirable
Experience applied in industry. Ideally gained in a retail / property background.
Experience preparing statutory accounts for SME companies.
Some exposure to UK business tax issues, including VAT and business profits tax.
Experience in using different accounting systems.
High standard of written and spoken communication.
Excellent technical accounting skills with good commercial exposure
IT Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Word and Outlook; Advanced Excel.
