- The IS is collaborating with various organizations to establish a Scottish Climate Intelligence Service, enhancing decision making for emissions reduction in local authorities.
- Local Leads role: support capacity building for SCIS, provide practical insight and support at local level.
- Work closely with groups of local authorities, offering local assessment service and supporting capacity building.
- Roles are locally focused, providing tailored support while connecting to the Data Team for knowledge sharing.
- Support local authorities in understanding data to make evidence-based decisions for carbon reduction projects.
- Engage and liaise with local authorities to identify learning needs for using SCIS data, deliver training programs.
- Appointment for 12 months, with possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
- Primary place of work at West Lothian Civic Centre with flexibility for a blended model of office and home working.
- Travel throughout Scotland may be required, with occasional meetings at Edinburgh Climate Change Institute.
- Standard working week of 36 hours, full-time or part-time option available.
- Flexibility in working hours agreed with Line Manager.
- Closing date: 3rd June
- Competency-based interview via MS Teams week commencing 24th June.
