Macildowie is supporting this desirable SME business based in Nottingham. They have a
turnover of around £50 Million.

The company has recently had a cash injection to the company and now looking for a new Management Accountant due to an internal promotion.


This job is the perfect job for somebody who is wanting to progress as an accountant with a chance to make a mark on this SME company.

The company has a great atmosphere due to the open-plan office and the culture. The right person for this role will also have a strong personality.

So what is the job?

  • Month End Tasks, including Prepayment and Accrual journal posting and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Month End Analysis reports
  • Preparing and processing weekly Purchase Ledger Payment Runs
  • Processing and uploading Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Adhoc reporting and Team Support where necessary
  • Intercompany transactions/recharges
  • To carry out any other duties that are deemed to be within your capabilities and that help the Company towards its objectives and goals.
What are you like?

  • Qualifications
  • Part Qualified Accountant.
  • Must have experience working in an Accounts Team.
  • Previous experience supervising/managing a small team (desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail (essential)
  • Problem Solver/Logical approach to tasks, with a desire to drive efficiency and improvement
  • Must be able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Strong communicator
  • Flexible approach to work
  • A positive cando attitude, and a willingness to help others always.
  • Ability to communicate confidently will all stakeholders, external and internal
  • Personable, warm, friendly, and an enthusiastic approach to work
  • Selfmotivated and resilient
  • Numerate and analytical

Package - £33,000 - £35,000 - depending on experience
