Oakwood Specialist College are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to come and join their Dynamic Team

Focus on English and Maths education, aiming for Grade 4 GCSE
Work placements facilitated by LSAs, 1 day per week

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with students with special educational needs (SEN) in a specialist college in Yate, South Gloucestershire.

You will be responsible for creating engaging and inclusive learning environments, supporting the educational needs of students aged 1625 with EHCPs.
The college offers various facilities, including sensory rooms, a functional kitchen, and a gym, to provide a wellrounded learning experience for the students.
The primary focus of the role will be to support students in English and Maths education, with the aim of achieving Grade 4 GCSE.
In addition, you will also have the opportunity to facilitate work placements for the students, one day per week.

Previous experience in SEN support is preferred, as it will enable you to better understand the unique needs of the students and provide effective support.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you should have the ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
A passion for supporting the educational needs of SEN students is essential in this role.

Relevant qualifications in teaching or supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) are preferred.
