    Permanent and Fixed term contract available | £41,173 to £45,442 per annum (Scale K) | All 37 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich

    Advanced Public Health Officer (APHO) roles:

    Public Health is seeking to recruit four Advanced Public Health Officers to work within its Prevention Team. Three of the posts will be focused on work relating to the wider determinants of health such as the built and natural environment, spatial planning and the economy (two permanent posts and one fixed term to end of September 25) and one of the posts will sit in the people and communities team supporting place based working (fixed term to the end of December 24).

    APHO Built and Natural Environment – Prevention Team (2 x permanent posts; 1 x fixed term to September 24)

    Working in the Built and Natural Environment team your work will seek to influence the social, economic and environmental factors which impact on people's health. The roles will be varied, covering a portfolio of programmes, looking at the health impacts of climate change, housing, air quality, transport and travel, green infrastructure and spatial planning. A working knowledge of the principles of public health, theory and practice as well as health and other systems including government policy; experience of identifying key stakeholders and developing effective relationships of working in the public sector and managing projects that lead to change is required. The post holders will drive collaboration and engagement across other council departments and with other local authorities to incorporate health and wellbeing objectives into all policies. This will include working with planning, licensing, regeneration, transport, employment, and district council environmental health and housing teams.
