Lecturer in Clinical Psychology - Norwich, United Kingdom - University of East Anglia

    Default job background
    Part time, Permanent
    Description

    Part-time, 0.8FTE

Starting salary from £46,974 per annum (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £54,395 per annum (pro rata).

A salary supplement may be available to match NHS Afc band 8a or 8b.

The Clinical Psychology and Psychological Therapies (CPPT) department of the Norwich Medical School has grown its education and training programmes in recent years in response to key strategic opportunities (national expansion of ClinPsyD and IAPT commissions, emergence of key new psychological practitioner roles of CAP and EMHP) but is keen to expand its body of research-focused clinical academics.

This part-time, 0.8FTE post is designed to attract talented early career clinical researchers looking to base themselves in a leading research-led university department. You would join and be mentored by an internationally-recognised team of researchers whose research is supported by major UK funding bodies (NIHR, MRC, Wellcome) and is focused on improving the lives of people living with significant mental health difficulties. Existing staff have expertise in a number of areas (stroke and acquired brain injury; child and youth mental health; maternal mental health; psychosis; behavioural sleep medicine) and have extensive experience with a wide variety of research methods, including systematic reviews, cohort studies, qualitative research and clinical trials. All staff recognise the importance of nurturing the next generation of clinical academics, and see supporting new talent as a key school objective.

This part-time (0.8FTE) post is available from 1 July 2024 on an indefinite basis. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.

Further information on our great benefits package, including 44 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.

    Closing date: 4 June 2024

The University holds an Athena Swan Silver Institutional Award in recognition of our advancement towards gender equality.

From £46,974 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £54,395 per annum (pro rata). A salary supplement may be available to match NHS Afc band 8a or 8b
