I am very pleased to be supporting my client in the recruitment of a Group Tax Manager.

This is a newly created role and the first Tax hire within the business giving huge opportunity to make the role your own and develop the function.

My client are an establishedGlobal Insurance business based in the City of London. On offer is an attractive package and full hybrid working model. Please find an overview on the role below.

  • Ensure all companies within the group have robust and effective governance, processes and controls in place whilst ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Role will encompass Corporation tax, VAT, stamp duty, employment, and payroll taxes.
  • Cocoordinating all UK tax processes to support compliance against the Senior Accounting Officer requirements.
  • Identify and manage tax risks
  • Provide a central point of contact for all taxrelated queries across the group, liaising with advisor's and agents where appropriate.
  • Lead tax planning processes.
  • Assess all projects to identify tax implications and work with the business to ensure alignment with the tax strategy and processes.
  • Work with HR colleagues closely on employment tax matters, including stamp duty administration of the employee share scheme.
  • Lead day to day external relationships with tax advisors, tax agent and HMRC.
  • Continual improvement of tax processes, documentation, and controls.

Person experience and skillset:

  • CTA, ATT, ACCA or ACA with demonstrable Tax acumen
  • Sector knowledge, Ideally Insurance but will also consider Financial Services and Practice
  • Experience of working under FCA guidelines
