We are seeking a dynamic Subject Matter Expert in procurement digitalization and automation to support the pan-EMBL Procurement team. As part of the EMBL Purchasing Department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing procurement processes within an international setting.
EMBL is implementing the Workday platform to revolutionize operations and promote collaboration across the organization. The new system will streamline procurement processes, provide centralized management, simplify vendor relationships, and offer advanced data analytics for strategic sourcing.
As the chosen candidate, your key tasks will include sourcing modern procurement marketplaces, guiding users through catalogues, automating orders, supporting the Workday implementation, creating internal catalogues, and providing training and documentation. You will be the main point of contact for various departments and external partners.

This position reports to the Head of Purchase Department in Heidelberg, Germany, and may be based in either Hinxton, UK or Heidelberg, Germany, with the possibility of remote work.
