- Degree qualification (or equivalent training and experience) in appropriate environmental, physical science or engineering discipline.
- Significant experience in a comparable role (individual candidates need experience of some of the technical topic areas described above, not necessarily all).
- Good working knowledge of relevant regulations for nuclear site permitting and operations.
- Experience of bid leadership and proposal preparation.
- Ability to manage time and priorities while working on several varied projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including tailoring outputs to the requirements of different stakeholders.
- Good people skills – able to clearly explain concepts to aid training and development of colleagues; facilitate workshops and manage stakeholder engagement activities.
- Actively pursuing (or already hold) relevant Chartership.
- Recognised technical leadership within the industry
- Practical experience of environmental management on nuclear sites
- Willingness to travel on business on occasion. This may include sites across the UK and overseas (e.g. Europe, USA, Japan, Australia).
