Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery ( 10PA) at Addenbrooke's hospital. This is a post with a specialist interest in Head & Neck Oncology with reconstruction. Other roles will include general Maxillofacial Surgery clinics and surgery, treating trauma patients and on-call duties.
This is a new post and the principle remit of this post is to provide a high quality Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will take part in head and neck MDT, develop a role within reconstruction with the plastic surgeons. This post will also offer the opportunity to help develop sentinel node biopsy service for oral cancer.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

Leadership is a key requirement of doctors' professional work and this innovative programme is designed to support Consultants to hone the leadership and management skills they need to succeed at CUH.
Working for your organisation
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
