Description

Ontic, an aerospace industry leading provider of 'Extended Life Solutions' for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy and non-core products, has opportunities for a Calibration Engineer to join our team based in Staverton to support our continued success and ambitious growth plans.

You'll be part of a team who are responsible for ensuring that all test equipment used within Ontic is in calibration.

What you'll be doing

You'll be managing the calibration of Ontic UK mechanical/hydraulic special-to-type (STTE) and commercial off the shelf (COTS) test equipment, including pressure transducers, pressure gauges, load cells, LVDT's, digital encoders, X/Y Plotters and data acquisition systems. You'll be responsible for managing externally calibrated equipment process and onsite contractors.

You will manage our database, equipment recall, certification & traceability management - ensuring all calibrated items are traceable to national standards, i.e. NPL. You'll support NPI activity with potential travel overseas, managing the transfer of incoming test equipment and assessing against Ontic processes.

You'll also have responsibility for performing analysis of product testing requirements and procure new test equipment.

As well as the above you will also create technical documents for calibration procedures and test equipment changes and be a point of contact for auditing as well.

What you'll have already

You will need to have previous Calibration (ideally mechanical) experience for this role and ideally you'll have worked within a business who also handles repair of parts (MRO) however this is not essential. You'll have strong experience of working with results sheets and will have excellent attention to detail.
