Part Time Logistics Coordinator / Near Eye, Suffolk / 18 month maternity cover / 6am to 11am / Remote position

We are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to join our client on a part time basis. This position is a 18 month fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave.

6:00am to 11:00am, Monday to Friday.

Salary is dependent on experience.

Duties include:

Assist with the efficient and smooth planning of deliveries to abattoirs.
To be responsible for ensuring all delivery documentation and paperwork is correct and complete.
Updating and notifiying changes to deliveries where applicable, ensuring that communication is appropriate and effective.
Dealing with customer trace queries from abattoirs.
Ensuring paperwork for assurance/exports is kept up to date.
Engaging and dealing with suppliers and hauliers on an ongoing basis, supporting the maintenance of strong relationships.
Agreeing and confirming haulage costs where applicable.

Skills & Knowledge required:

Confident communicator, able to deal with multiple channels of communication.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure.
Experience of logistics planning, including a good geographical knowledge of the UK. Knowledge of Drivers Hours (Regulation (EC) 561/2006) and Working Time Directive 1998 would also be advantageous.

This position will be office based for training then remote working.
