    Role responsibilities

    The Customer Information & Business Development Manager will be responsible for line management of our Customer Service Controllers (CSCs) and Information Systems & Station Facilities Controllers (ISSFCs) whilst ensuring all such non-operational team members at the Core Valley lines Integrated Control Centre (CVLICC) maintain the required skillsets and knowledge to undertake the duties of the role to best effect. The role will lead all aspects of personal development of our non-operational CVLICC team and support the enhancement of processes (. Passenger Information During Disruption / Customer Pledges) and systems pertaining to real-time customer information.

  • Line management of the Non-Operational TfW CVLICC team members
  • Develop, implement and maintain up-to-date and purposeful role-specific training packages to be implemented for new starters that is both theory and practical based.
  • Develop and deliver group and individual development programs in conjunction with the CVL Service delivery Manager through meaningful annual Performance and development reviews
  • Lead the development of control processes and policies (including train service recovery and PIDD) in conjunction with the CVL Service Delivery Manager.

  • Ability to innovate, influence and implement change
  • Understanding of the various functions and inter-dependencies together with commercial awareness of the wider industry and interested stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Welsh Language Skills

    The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.

    Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills.
