Supply Chain Lead - Edinburgh (Hybrid) - To 80K plus benefits


Lorien's client, an award-winning organisation with an amazing office in the heart of Edinburgh offering hybrid working arrangements, is well known for its widespread subscription service - the most popular of its kind (many of us here are customers ourselves).


Starting out around a decade ago and seeing continued success, they have been growing rapidly to become an established brand and they are now looking to expand their team with a new addition in the shape of a Supply Chain Lead with a background in eCommerceas well as Third Party Logistics, S&OP and other relevant domains.

  • Using your knowledge and skills to lead your team in a hands-on way
  • Work closely with Founders and other senior leaders to coordinate the wider strategy
  • Lead, peoplemanage and coach the current Supply Chain team of 8 people operating across 3PL, Buying, and other relevant areas based on performance metrics and other data
  • Use your knowledge to improve the team as well as the processes and practices they follow
  • Act as Project Lead during planning phases and ensuring smooth delivery
  • Get involved in new and exciting projects in the pipeline including market expansions and new product offerings
  • Occasionally (around once every couple of months) travel to meet with 3rd party representatives near Peterborough

Here's the kind of skills/knowledge they're looking for:

  • Solid track record of working as a Senior Supply Chain Specialist or Head, specifically within an eCommerce or subscription-oriented organisation
  • Strong knowledge of 3PL (Third Party Logistics), S&OP and Demand/Production Planning, coupled with a solid commercial mindset
  • Ability to lead a team as a handson figurehead
  • People management skills and ability to work across simultaneous projects in an evolving organisation
