Job Summary:


The Civils Supervisor will be working closely with the Civils Delivery Team and will supervise and develop a team of excavation, reinstatement & concrete works, and support gangs.

The Civils Supervisor will be working closely with the Civils project manager to ensure that continued high-quality workmanship is maintained and delivered across multiple disciplines.


Responsibilities:


General

  • Supervise, manage and carry out excavations and reinstatements.
  • Carry out all forms of Civil works including concrete works, form works and steel fixing.
  • Be familiar with HSG47, including the use of a CAT and GENNY.
  • Able to understand technical details and drawings.

Engineering

  • Supervise and manage site projects, including budgeted hours, material costs and timescales.
  • Generate project files with test sheets, work instructions and associated manuals.
  • Complete project files within the course of the project and issue work report to the client upon completion.
  • Carry out electrical installation work efficiently in accordance with the National Working Rules for Electrical Contacting Industry and other relevant legislations.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.

HSE & Quality

  • Ensure all work is installed in a safe manner that will not present harm or danger to others.
  • Advise management of whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Prepare and issue risk assessments and methods statements.
  • Liaise with high voltage manager/EHS manager regarding site health, safety and environmental
  • Responsible for health, safety and environmental on relevant sites in accordance with all UK & EU legislation
  • Responsible for quality of installation for relevant projects by all personnel as part of ISO 9001

Training

  • Carry out toolbox talks with site staff and ensure signed training forms are returned to the office.
  • Participate in regular training as required to maintain and/or develop competency levels.
  • Complete IOSH training
  • Be Street works accredited.
  • NERS (Refer to NERS scheme requirements documentation within iQES)
  • Adhere to the requirements of NERS scheme
  • Maintain and demonstrate appropriate knowledge and experience for work undertaken under NERS scheme

Salary:
£16.00-£17.00 per hour
