The Financial Accountant plays an important part in the day-to-day running and management of the Finance department of Academy Music Group.
Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the role manages the Capex process from a financial perspective, as well as other significant balance sheet accounts.
This role also manages the Capex & Ticketing Accountant directly and supports the Senior Financial Accountant in reviewing Accounts Assistants' work.
Whilst the role has ownership of specific functions, the emphasis within the Finance department is on teamwork.We support each other by maintaining an atmosphere of approachability and are committed to building authentic and valuable relationships within the team.
ACCA/CIMA/ACA, finalist/newly qualified, or qualified by experienceComputer literacy - Excel and Outlook specifically
Experience working in a busy finance department
Good working knowledge of debits and credits
Experience using Oracle
Management of Capex and Ticketing Accountant, including training, professional development, performance reviews
Management of the Capex accounts for Academy Music Group and Live Nation venues, including:
Monthly reconciliations and reporting o Budgeting and forecasting
Balance Sheet reconciliations including, but not limited to: o Advanced ticket sales o PRS/Licensing o FEU
Assist with review of Accounts Assistants' reconciliations, as required by the Senior Financial Accountant
Review weekly payment runs in accordance with SOX controls
Compile year-end audit files
Ad-hoc analysis and tasks
