The IStructE is a charity and the world's largest professional body for structural engineers. We have a global membership who have designed many of the world's iconic structures.


Creating safer structures for the benefit of the public is at the heart of our remit, as well as working to promote environmental sustainability with structural engineers and the Institution at the heart of the impact construction has on natural resources and climate change.

Many of our members work to support the world's most vulnerable communities, especially those living in places prone to natural hazards such as earthquakes and extreme flooding.

Can you lead our IT team and drive the operational IT strategic roadmap to grow the technical capabilities to support the organisation's goals and priorities?


The Head of IT Operations is a new position and will be responsible for the strategy and ongoing operation of the in-house IT Ops team and be part of our Digital Transformation Team and work.

You will play an integral part in leading and driving next-level maturity to enable ongoing efficiency and future scaling of IT operations.


This includes oversight of the following functions:

enterprise architecture (including redundancy and disaster recovery), systems administration, hardware and software asset management, database and cloud management, audio/video technology, technical product management for core business systems, and end user computing.
