- Your main goal is to provide high-touch user support to the global team trading across major EMEA and US markets.
- Offer quick user support to investigate and resolve any system issues affecting front office trading.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams daily to effectively manage the trading infrastructure and resolve issues thoroughly.
- Manage trading platforms on various OS environments such as Windows & Linux, supporting manual and algorithmic trading, connectivity systems, and risk systems.
- Ensure all trading components are operational before each trading day and support release management for a stable production environment.
- Maintain and support static databases and associated processes.
- Create tools to enhance monitoring of the trading environment continuously.
- Be available for evening/weekend support as needed, usually remotely.
- Experience in Bash, Command Dos, Powershell, or Python scripting is essential.
- Familiarity with Equities, Futures, Commodities, and FX asset classes is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective business analytics abilities are crucial.
- Demonstrate ownership of issues and dedication to resolving them.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital.
- Essential experience in Windows desktop and server administration.
- Significant Linux OS expertise is required.
- Proficiency in relational databases, prioritizing SQL Server and Postgres.
- Desirable experience in managing the expectations of Front Office traders and senior management.
- Knowledge of Equities, Futures, Commodities, and FX asset classes is a plus.
- Understanding of market data feed handlers, execution feeds, market-making/liquidity provision, and algorithmic trading is beneficial.
