    JOB TITLE: Aseptic Services Pharmacist at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust

    As part of our team, you will benefit from the guidance of seasoned technical and clinical pharmacy professionals, facilitating the advancement of your skills and knowledge towards a Band 8a role. Additionally, you'll have the chance to broaden your post-graduate understanding of Technical Services by enrolling in the Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance course.

    An attractive relocation package of up to £8000 is available for the right candidate, subject to terms and conditions.

    Main Duties of the Job

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Oversee daily operations of aseptic dispensing service to optimize resource usage and ensure timely preparation of medication.
    • Support the organization and management of aseptic services to guarantee product suitability, efficient resource utilization, and timely product delivery.
    • Assist the Aseptic Services Accountable Pharmacist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to ensure a safe service.
    • Provide aseptic preparation training to staff for safe and efficient work execution.
    • Lead project development initiatives for the dispensing service and cancer care pharmacy team to enhance service quality.
    • Drive policy/service improvements to meet standards and enhance service quality.
    • Upon achieving objectives, assume line management responsibilities for a designated Band 6 Pharmacist.

    Professional Registration

    Essential:

    • Vocational Pharmacy Master's Degree (4 years) + 1 year pre-registration training
    • Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy at diploma level or equivalent
    • MSc Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) or equivalent for Band 8a
    • Registered Pharmacist with General Pharmaceutical Council
    • Continuous Professional Development relevant to the role

    Desirable:

    • Experience with SACTs/CIVAs/PN services and related pharmacological therapies
    • PTQA knowledge
    • Proven track record of identifying service improvement opportunities
