We are currently looking for a Deputy Team Leader in Tilbrook


Salary:
£28,512 per annum


Job Description:


  • Oversee the effective running of the warehouse operation to ensure products are safely handled through all inbound and outbound processes, ensuring all company/customer procedures are adhered to, to meet customer expectations and our SLA.
  • Be able to commit to working Monday to Friday
  • Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to ensure that damage to kept to a minimum and manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm.
  • Provide effective advice and support for staff in carrying out their duties. Conduct inductions/training as necessary.
  • Good awareness of daily operational & KPI performance and able to communicate this in shift briefings
  • Provide cover and assistance with reliable endofshift reporting and customer update calls as needed
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, and attend all relevant safety briefings and campaigns
  • Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure own safety and that of all fellow employees
  • Identification, monitoring and reporting of cost saving initiatives and process improvements
  • Asist in leading the team to deliver all legislative and process requirements including Health and Safety and audit programmes

Qualification/Experience:

  • Good standard of basic education, numeracy and English language
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Knowledge/operational experience of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Leadership / Management of direct reports
  • PC literate with knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, Windows and Outlook
