We are currently recruiting for a Payment Processing Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team in Uxbridge.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience in administration of customer payments for mortgage portfolios, in a highly customer-focused environment within the financial services sector.

Your role will involve end-to-end servicing and administration of mortgage payments throughout the complete lifecycle.


You will be working within an established team that is a key part of Pepper's operations, and you will receive ample support so that you can be successful in your role.


As a Primary Processing Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewal of bank statements relating to clients
  • Processing account redemptions, and other actions relating to the closure of mortgage accounts
  • Administering the payment process surrounding refunds
  • Posting fees and credit movements
  • Drafting and issuing customer letters
  • Managing account remediations, including taking necessary steps to fix accounts where transactions require amendments
  • Carrying out account calculations and assessing financial statements

The role will pay up to £25,000 + benefits dependant upon skills and experience. Right to Work in the UK is essential for all of our UK roles.

Essential Skills:

- has prior exposure to operational loan management
- can demonstrate confidence in carrying out account calculations and assessing financial statements
- can consistently deliver outstanding customer service
- has a rudimentary understanding of relevant regulation and associated legislative policy and the impact this has on the role - particularly as they relate to loan and mortgage products


Desired Skills:

In addition, to the above, the following skills are desirable:

  • Self-reliant and self-motivated
  • You will be detail orientated and able to work to tight deadlines
  • You will "take ownership" of the responsibilities allocated to you
  • Ability to form productive relationships at all levels
  • You will have strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • You will be enthusiastic, and a positive member of the team recognised by your colleagues as a valued and effective team player
  • You will be required to work within established internal controls and maintain a high standard of quality across all your tasks, be accurate in your work, well organised, and reliable
  • IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Phoebus will be of benefit but not essential
