- Use digital technology to make the construction industry more efficient.
- Work with members of the design and construction teams to produce coordinated 3D REVIT models and drawings to facilitate construction of a variety of types of construction projects.
- Develop knowledge of and become proficient in the use of various specialist software design packages.
- Develop a sound technical understanding of different construction methods and techniques.
- Liaise with members of the design and construction teams to develop innovative engineering solutions.
- Assist with carrying out site inspections and building surveys. Who you are:
- You should hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A to C or above, including English, Maths and a Science for us to successfully enrol you on this apprenticeship.

- Reliable
- You must have lived in the UK in the last 3 years and have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for an apprenticeship. We are not able to proceed with applications that require visa sponsorship.

- Someone who can work effectively within a team, develop relationships and integrate with colleagues.
- Although no previous experience is required, you will have a passion for the construction industry and will want to help shape the future. Working environment : you will be based in our design office in Bridgend, conveniently located close the J35 of the M4 – so easy to get to. What we offer:
- Through day or block release, Skanska will provide support and funding to help you achieve a HNC / NVQ Level 4 civil engineering qualification.
- Starting salary £16,800 – £23,860 depending on your age and apprenticeship level.

Trainee Design (BIM) Technician – Apprenticeship programme 2024 – Wales We are looking for a Trainee BIM (Building Information Modelling) Technician to join our design team in Bridgend. We will support you to complete vocational training in a construction related subject and will provide 'on the job' training and support to build your skills in the use of BIM and digital engineering tools.
