Area Manager - Specialist Housing to join the team providing specialist housing management services to people living in care and supported housing properties.

In return you will receive a competitive salary of
£46,000 per annum.**
About the Area Manager - Specialist Housing
role:As an Area Manager - Specialist Housing London you and your team will be supporting people to live happily in the place they call home.


What we're looking for in our Area Manager - Specialist Housing:

  • A commitment to providing the highest standards of customer service/care
  • Experience of leading a team of staff across a wide range of services with a variety of different skill sets
  • Experience of setting team and individual targets, monitoring performance against these and taking effective remedial action when targets are not met
  • Sound working knowledge of Housing and related legislation and good practice, as it relates to the management of rented, care & supported social housing
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals as well as maintain accurate records
  • Experience of monitoring performance of external contractors and service providers, taking remedial action as required
  • A positive disposition towards change, viewing it as an opportunity to improve services, performance and efficiency

Some of the key results for the role include:

  • To lead, motivate, empower, and provide a responsive and effective housing management service
  • Responsible for specific budgets and monitor expenditure and take appropriate action to prevent overspending
  • To manage and support the voids and lettings process
  • Provide support and advice to front line staff teams dealing with more complex housing management issues
  • To investigate and respond to all complaints ensuring that timescales are met and lessons learned to improve services with a costeffective resolution
  • To ensure that KPI targets for team members are met with the aim of continual improved performance
