- The Parts Assistant / parts advisor is a pivotal role in our Accident Repair Centres team.
- You'll be responsible for all aspects of ordering, pricing and administration - even sourcing parts that are unavailable through the usual channels.
- Control the stock control for all paint and consumables.
- You'll liaise with our bodyshop technicians and provide high levels of customer contact and communications throughout the vehicle repairs.
- Accountability for appropriate parts provision service and timely communication to enable effective repairs.
- Identifying, owning and managing the risks involved in running our business appropriate to this role
- Handle body shop requirements swiftly, courteously and efficiently.
- Ensure that Parts on receipt are inspected for damage and that the quantities received match quantity advised on delivery notes and placed into stock locations.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, in particular paying attention to manufacturer guidelines
- Motor trade experience in a similar environment
- Parts Advisor or parts assistant experience
- Stock control experience
- Ideally automotive bodyshop experience
- Computer literacy and a working knowledge of an in-house stock system would be an advantage
