Asset Investment Surveyor

West Midlands

Salary - £ 33,100-£41, Car Allowance) per annum - depending on skills and experience.

Contract type - Permanent

Working hours - Full Time

About the role
Your primary function of this role is to carry out the following surveys;

  • Property condition surveys
  • Property and block compliance surveys
  • Energy and RdSAP Surveys
  • Housing Health and Safety rating System (HHSRS) surveys
  • Adhoc condition and validation surveys to meet business objectives
  • Customer query and complaint surveys where required


Using handheld technologies, you will survey and collect accurate property condition and repair data to inform annual programme of investment, the Business Plan and long-term financial planning process.


You will ensure that that our homes are safe to live in, are desirable and ultimately meet the Decent Homes Standard and the HHSRS standard.


You will collect energy data in order to create Energy Performance Certification for our properties to feed into the Group's Decarbonisation Strategy and wider sector Social Housing decarbonisation project.

About you


You will ideally have a BTEC HND/HNC or equivalent ability or vocabulary, verbal reasoning, and numerical skills to the equivalent ability level.

You will have experience of working in an asset management or maintenance field.

You will have experience of collating accurate stock condition data and carrying out maintenance surveys.

You will have a good understanding of the Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS, wider compliance related and fire risk assessments.


You will have a Diplomatic and persuasive, ability to resolve conflict and influence people and the will to work with residents to achieve successful outcomes.
