Project Manager - R&D / Clinical - £465 pd Inside IR35
One of the UK's leading pharma giants (global brand) require a Project Manager from a clinical / scientific pharma background.
We are looking for a project manager to work with the artificial intelligence-machine learning (AI/ML) group to support a pre-clinical team on one of the key projects in the Research Department focusing on ensuring the right targets are progressed into laterstages of the drug development pipeline.
The pre-clinical team is cross-disciplinary, integrating capabilities available in multiple departments including Genomic Sciences, Medicines Design and AI/ML, with the mission to identify and prioritize innovative targets that are likely to enable successfulmedicines.
The project manager will be embedded within the team to oversee the project management aspects to ensure delivery on time and within budget of key milestones in 2023.
This role will be part of our global AI/ML team and is a terrific opportunity for an experiencedproject manager to be part of a team whose aim is to accelerate medicine development for patients.
This role will be accountable for one or more complex projects involving the pre-clinical teamKey activities:
- Development/Maintenance of a project plan and key stakeholder engagement. Influence for project delivery with quality
- Responsible for overseeing the execution of the development plans which requires breaking down initiatives into tasks and planning projects to timelines.
- Creating timelines and ensuring that deliverables are completed on time.
- Identify/Capture key project risks within a risk register. Escalate risks to technical and product lead.
- Track project level expenses and support spend forecasts.
- Vendor Management.
- Meeting Management, including scheduling, facilitation, minutes to capture decisions and actions with follow up to hold action owners accountable.
Required Skills:
- At least 5 years project management experience working on complex multistakeholder projects
- Understanding of software development methods and Agile ways of working
- Pharma, CRO and/or Academic Research Organisation experience
- Creative problem solving and adaptability
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with multiple and diverse stakeholders
- Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen
