    Description
    We havepartnered with a fantastic independent chartered accountancypractice located in Eastbourne to support them with their searchfor a Tax Senior / Manager. Our client has 2 offices located inEastbourne & Brighton and prides themselves in theirpositive family culture.
    Youwill work as part of the Tax team assisting with client accountingand tax compliance tasks withtheopportunity to progress your career in taxation. There will be anopportunity to get involved with various interesting tax advisoryprojects & the rare opportunity to develop broad UK tax UStax expertise (Full training and support will be provided for thelatter)

    Responsibilities/duties:

    • Supportingthe Tax Partner with technical research and preparing tax advicedirect to clients in all areas oftaxation

    • Supportingthe Tax Partner in dealing with internal technical tax queries forPartners and Managers encompassing all areas oftaxation

    • Workingwith the Tax Partner to develop tax planning ideas and provideproactive advice including technical updates to both partners/staffandclients

    • Assistingwith the preparation of Self Assessment Tax Returns for a portfolioofclients

    • Assistingthe Tax Partner with the preparation of US Federal Tax Returns.

    Requirements

    Requirementsfor this role are:

    • Experiencein working in mixed UK taxation (private clients and corporateclients) is preferred but candidates with a private client bias whoare willing to develop corporate tax experience will be considered.Candidates must have some experience in tax advisory.

    • Itis an experience that is important so although CTAqualifiedcandidates will be preferred candidates with other tax oraccounting qualifications as well as those qualified by experiencewill beconsidered.

    • Mustbe willing (and able) to undertake detailed technical research workto deadlines and get involved in widerangingissues
      Experiencein US tax is desirable but notessential.

    Requirements for this role are: Experience in working in mixed UKtaxation (private clients and corporate clients) is preferred, butcandidates with a private client bias who are willing to developcorporate tax experience will be considered.
