- Delivering prompt 1st / 2nd line technical support and conducting thorough problem analysis and rectification for production and office users across both Sunderland Plants.
- Engaging with the helpdesk and other external teams to troubleshoot and triage issues to resolution.
- Ensuring uptime of critical and non-critical IT systems by completing daily checks, including virtual environments, networks, and critical shopfloor hardware to minimize production downtime.
- Upgrading and optimizing hardware/software to meet user requirements, boost productivity, and maintain system stability in line with corporate requirements.
- Monitoring and resolving LAN/WAN issues to ensure uninterrupted communication performance.
- Maintaining documentation and procedures to facilitate seamless operations, preserve a valuable knowledge base, and maintain a comprehensive historical database.
- Completing local and corporate compliance activities and supporting audit activities.
- Planning and executing preventive maintenance activities, including contractual maintenance for essential equipment to minimize downtime.
- Managing an adequate inventory of IT consumables to support the daily functioning of all IT equipment working with a non-production purchasing application.
- Leading cross-functional projects within the plant, working with external vendors when required
- Experience working in IT Support, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical problem-resolving skills, working alone or in a team.
- To be able to provide On-call support in the future as part of a Rota.
- MCITP /MCTS SQL 2016 (or above) and MCSE/MCP Windows 2016 (or above) certifications preferred
