We are delighted to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Higher level Technician/Science Manufacturing Technician to join our well-established team of dedicated professionals.
The job holder must be a registered pharmacy technician or registered science manufacturing technician , will need to be able to work on their own and with other members of the pharmacy aseptic services team.
Aseptic duties are to be carried out in line with the aseptic unit standard operating procedures (SOPs).Work within the pharmacy dispensary will be to the standards specified in the following:
Pharmacy dispensing and labelling standards, Pharmacy departmental standard operating procedures ensuring compliance with Responsible Pharmacist legislation.

From the moment you start with us and throughout your career we will help you to grow and develop.To provide assistance in the provision of pharmacy aseptic services at Worthing for patients within the Trust including:
supervision of staff, organisation of day to day activities, preparation of cytotoxic products, worksheet and label preparation and monitoring of the environment.
Participate in co-ordinating the activities for the aseptic unit, managing staff placement and ensuring safe working practices within the unit.
Act as a role-model and provide a positive mentoring experience for new and junior staff.Act as line manager for designated member(s) of staff taking responsibility for performance review and objective setting in line with Trust policies.
NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services or equivalent BTEC in pharmaceutical Science or. Completion of Science Manufacturing Process Operative Level 2 apprenticeshipSignificant experience working in a hospital pharmacy.
Significant experience of working within a pharmacy aseptic unit.
Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC or registered as a science technician through an appropriate industry body.
Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of aseptic unit procedures and systems.Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of pharmacy dispensing procedures and systems.
Able to implement SOPs and suggest changes to working and training practices.
