About the Role

We have an amazing opportunity to join the UK Applications Development team at Lockheed Martin as an IT Software Solutions apprentice. Working within the team, you will learn the tools, techniques and approaches used by the team and apply them in a controlled environment to ensure projects are delivered on time, to quality and to budget.
Key to the role, you will work supporting Enterprise productivity software tools, interconnecting with critical production software, databases and customer systems.

At Lockheed Martin, we invest heavily in the personal development of our employees. As a new starter you will be enrolled in the necessary training to provide you with the knowledge required for the role. You will not be expected to know the technologies and software we use from day one, however we will expect you to be keen to learn

Required skills, qualifications and experience

5 GCSEs (A*- C) including English and mathematics; other relevant qualifications or experience.

Interest in IT, data analytics and database design

Good problem-solving approach

Positive approach to supporting and implementing new ways of working in a demanding work environment

A desire to develop communication and relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.

qualifications in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related Computing subjects

Ability to prioritise own tasks to meet project needs.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams will be an advantage.
