    Senior Process Engineer – Renewable Energy
    Brightsmith is proud to partner with a leading technology company based in the UK to expand their team.

    The company is in transition from an R&D company into a commercial company with continuous R&D and is growing to support and catalyze this change.



    Senior Process Engineer responsibilities:
    # Provide day-to-day support for the Engineering design team activities, with a particular focus on process design/process engineering.
    # Act as Process Design lead for site projects and small process changes.
    # Provide technical solutions for new plant/equipment and revamp of existing plant/equipment to improve functionality, safety, and reliability based on approved process designs.
    # Evaluate existing process units to support the plant/testing team troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking constraints, and improving reliability.
    # Provide plant support when necessary, e.g. installation or change of equipment, operation of equipment.
    # Liaise and work effectively with external engineering resource providers to support the design, deployment, and commissioning of the Balance of Plant of the different systems.
    # Engage in the plant safety and the general company safety programs.
    # Work with Testing Engineers to understand/help resolve upgrades to existing fuel cell systems and design of new fuel cell systems.

    A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (MSc preferred). Solid experience working in various Process Design Engineering roles in industrial environments.

    Good understanding of chemical engineering principles in terms of hydraulics, heat transfer, mass transfer, separation processes, and control/operation of associated plant.

    Ability to undertake chemical engineering calculations associated with the above chemical engineering principles. Experience developing P&ID's from Process Schematics, from front end to detailed design.

    Excellent collaborative and communication skills to engage with other engineering and scientific teams as well as with external stakeholders and suppliers.
