Would you like to progress your career by working with children who require complex clinical care?
Apollo Home Healthcare is recruiting a Children's Healthcare Assistant to support a young boy on a 1:1 basis throughout the day and night.
He is currently residing in RMCH and requires a dedicated team to help bring him home to his family in Preston.
You will be required to travel to RMCH for clinical training and shadow shifts, where you will be trained by the fantastic clinical team who currently support him
He is a happy little boy who enjoys interacting with his family and care team and likes to play with age-related toys.
Being able to communicate his wants and needs will be something he will need support with due to his age and condition; his family would like him to learn Makaton as he gets older with the help from his team to help promote his development.
Apollo Home Healthcare is looking for keen individuals, who have the desire to work with children and can excel in a challenging yet rewarding role.
This is a great opportunity where you will be supporting a wonderful young boy and using your valuable skills and experience you will progress into a Children's Complex Care Assistant.
Essential experience required
- 3 months of previous care experience
- Personal care
- Moving and handling
- Administration of medication
Desired experience
- Previous experience supporting children within a care setting
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation management
- Gastrostomy Feeds (peg)
Shifts Available
- Fulltime and Parttime
- Days
- 710 hour shifts
- Nights
- 10hour shifts
