Description
My Client is looking for a part-time Book-Keeper for 12-15 hours a week.

The role is office based but dates and times of work are very flexible.


Key responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger

  • Scanning and verifying invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Monthly payment runs
Sales Ledger

  • Raise sales invoices and send to customers
  • Monthly statements
  • Chase outstanding payments
  • Record payments received using Xero
Payroll

  • Calculate monthly payroll using timesheet calculations report
  • Complete monthly payroll using Xero payroll
  • Pay PAYE/NI due to HMRC by due date
  • Pay dividends
  • Payroll year end/P60s
Subcontractors

  • Verify subcontractor invoices, input and pay
  • Pay CIS amount due to HMRC on time
Other

  • VAT return
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Petty cash
  • Liaise with external accountants re year end
  • Admin duties as required

Key skills required:


  • Good allround bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of CIS and the construction industry
  • Flexible approach and abiity to work unsupervised
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of Sage and Xero

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 15-18 per week


Salary:
£18.00-£20.00 per hour
