Management Accountant

Location:
Haringey N17

Salary:
£45k to £50k (can be negotiated) + Benefits

Contract Type:
Permanent/Office based

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts to in accordance with published timetable
Production and issuing of departmental profit reports
Production of KPI reports
Balance sheet reconciliations
Calculation and processing deferred revenue adjustments
Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
Review and preparation of monthly VAT returns
Production of monthend journals including depreciation, rebates, stocks, WIP, Cost allocations, accruals and prepayments
Assist with preparation of year end audit including attendance at stocktakes
Reviewing journals and other work of junior accounts staff
Sales Ledger export to our accounts system of the monthly invoices, checking allocation to nominal codes.
Control of fixed asset registers and finance lease registers
Preparation of ad hoc reports from Sun Systems
Preparation and filing of Government statistics
Liaise with HMRC; work and build strong relationships with Auditors

Key Requirements

Excellent analytical and numerical skills whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
A solid foundation of basic accounting skills is also required for this role, including an understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles.
An understanding of the business
Ability to communicate and to work collaboratively with directors and other nonfinance stakeholders across the organisation
A high degree of organisational and strategic thinking skills
Good working knowledge of VAT
A team player who is willing to get involved in other duties outside their daytoday role.
Excellent Excel skills vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting
A problemsolver with attention to detail
Sun System experience preferable
