Axon Moore are looking for an experienced Group Financial Reporting Manager for a hugely successful professional services business in Manchester city centre for a 6 to 12 month FTC.

As Group Financial Reporting Manager you will be responsible for:


Duties:


  • Management of shared services management accounts function
  • Ownership of IFRS16 accounting and Management Incentive Plan
  • Support ad hoc finance requests from business units and head office departments including Data and Assurance
  • Line manager responsibilities for Group Accountant and Management Accountant (Shared Services)
  • Management of the year end audit process, coordinating all aspects of the audit and being the key contact with auditors
  • Ownership of preparation and review of statutory accounts
  • Ownership and maintenance of Group accounting policies and procedures
  • Understand, in depth, the Group accounting policies and methodology applied under both FRS 102 and IFRS. Lead the technical guidance and challenge to business units as required
  • Provide accounting advice and write accounting papers for oneoff transactions
  • Implement new accounting standards and communicating this to the business units as well as senior management
  • Management of tax accounting in conjunction with external advisors
  • Preparation of annual transfer pricing calculations
  • Coordination, review and submission of corporation tax, WHT and Employment tax returns in conjunction with external preparers and advisors
  • Preparation of the SAO process and annual filing
  • Point person for dealing with tax queries across the group and liaison with tax advisors and tax authorities as required
  • Adherence to deadlines for monthly Group reporting; quality of technical accounting support; accuracy and timeliness of tax submissions

Person Specification:

  • Degree. ACA qualified.
  • 5+ years' experience in a fastpaced and changing environment
  • Experience preparing consolidated statutory accounts
  • Experience in a group reporting role advantageous
  • Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills
  • Proactive and inquisitive mindset
  • Confident communicator
  • Hybrid working, minimum 2 days in the Manchester office
