    Description

    About the Team

    The Cross-Cutting Strategy, Insight and Reform (CSIR) team is part of the Treasury's Public Spending Group and tackles some of the most complex policy challenges facing the government today.


    About the Role

    You will be tasked with leading efforts to identify and implement key reform initiatives in the public sector, particularly by collaborating with departments to enhance the government's grasp of demand management and system obstacles in public services.


    Key responsibilities for this role include:

    • Lead initiatives for preventative spending interventions at the next Spending Review.
    • Collaborate with departments to improve HM Treasury's understanding of demand management and system challenges.
    • Work with analysts to establish an effective approach towards evaluating the impact of preventative spending interventions.
    • Develop strong partnerships and connections with officials.
    • Provide effective line management to direct reports.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong decision-making and strategic thinking abilities, along with a collaborative mindset to drive shared objectives forward. While experience in public spending is beneficial, it is not mandatory for this role.
