Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant with experience of dealing with challenging behaviour. This position is for a March/April start to work in a fantastic school that takes on SEMH pupils (Social, Emotional and Mental Health).
You will be working part of a staffing team to assist in delivering lessons for pupils with SEMH.

the classes are small and focused with a creative and nurturing environment with the pupils needs always at the forefront of the lessons.


The ideal applicant

  • Will have a real interest in working with children with varying special educational needs
  • Experience of working within a primary school environment.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to develop strong relationships with children and staff.
  • Have confidence to work as a team and demonstrate the ability to contribute to the schools development.
  • Could have recognised qualifications either graduate level or TA

The role

  • Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons focused on the pupils' learning abilities
  • Developing pupils social and life skills
  • Keeping the classroom tidy and a safe environment for learning
  • Writing up learning journals at the end of each day to track the pupils development and achievement of milestones
  • Requires someone who can be consistent and reliable
  • Being aware of EHCPs and ensuring the pupils needs are met

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 35 per week


Salary:
£75.00-£90.00 per day

Experience:


  • Special education: 1 year (preferred)
