Teaching Assistant required to provide support with an SEND department at a mainstream secondary school school in Birmingham.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs acrossKey Stage 3 & 4.

This outstanding school requires a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD or Dyslexia, and is comfortable working on a 1-2-1 or small group basis.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing classroom based support for students, and delivering intervention sessions to small groups within the SEND department.

You will be joining an experienced team of Teaching Assistants who are dedicated to helpingyoung people overcome barriers to education.


Job Role:

  • Supporting on a 121 basis within Key Stage 3 &
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs, including autism
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and helping children to access education
