Description
We're seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join us in the At Risk Mental State (ARMS) team, which works with young people who may be at risk of developing first episode psychosis.
The job will involve working alongside experienced MDT colleagues to offer a service to users and their families joint & indirect work with colleagues (team formulation, staff training, support and consultation around psychological issues) and appropriate audit, evaluation & research activities as required.
You will be required to deliver evidence-based psychological approaches to our service users, as identified in the National guidelines, including cognitive behavioural therapy and family interventions.
The clinical psychologists in ARMS and EI are valued team members, working directly with service users (and their families) who are receiving care and treatment (including working with people in crisis) and providing indirect interventions through team formulation, joint work, consultation and teaching/ training.
You should have post-qualification (or trainee/placement) experience of working in a CMHT, EI or ARMS service with people with mental health difficulties including psychosis, bipolar disorder and trauma-related complex difficulties.
The role also includes joint and indirect work with colleagues (team formulation, staff training, support and consultation around psychological issues) and appropriate audit, evaluation and research activities as required.
