    Description

    Job Title:
    Health & Beauty Packaging Technologist

    We have a truly exciting opportunity for a packaging technologist passionate about health and beauty to join an innovative, trend setting retailer.

    This role will be based at our client's vibrant Head Office filled with hundreds of brilliant personalities; Daily duties will involve working on a diverse range of products across FMCG Health & Beauty, being responsible for packaging CSR, structure and print.

    Review and approve all pack formats for structural integrity, brand alignment and on-shelf presence.

    Work with the Designer(s)/ Design Agencies and make recommendations on how best to achieve proposed designs on all pack format across a brand/ range.

    Work with the supplier/ printers to decide how best to colour manage each project. Attend print runs on key projects.
    Work with external printers to create wetproofs, digital proofs and colour standards where appropriate.
    Review and approve pre and post-production samples for colour/ print compliance.
    Check all electronic proofs sent from printers for review.
    Ad hoc projects as requested by the Design Manager.
    Minimum 5 years' experience as a packaging technologist in retail/ FMCG field. Preferably in the Health and Beauty sector.
    Proven ability of successful packaging projects in CSR, structural and print, from brief to store.
    Understanding of commercials, and how packaging design and specification can improve product costs.
