    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Cloud Infrastructure Architect

    Birmingham - Hybrid Work Model (2 days on-site per week)

    Salary: circa. £110,000

    Our client is seeking a professional to take charge of cloud architecture, playing a pivotal role in designing and managing all cloud systems, encompassing Front End platforms, Servers, storage, and management networks.

    They are at the forefront of digital transformation in their sector, with a comprehensive modernization program that capitalizes on Cloud technologies.

    They are in the process of establishing their operational framework to provide and maintain a multi-cloud environment, with Azure being the initial focus.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in developing standard architecture patterns by utilizing internal and external best practices
    • Promote cloud-native application architectures and application development and operational practices
    • Architect large-scale solutions on cloud and present designs to the Technical Design Authority
    • Create detailed Cloud infrastructure architecture models in collaboration with cloud engineers and security architects
    • Resolving all design issues and dependencies
    • Develop detailed Cloud infrastructure architecture models
    • Identify relevant IT architectures ensuring clear understanding among program and business stakeholders and suppliers
    • Establish and document cloud processes and standards, influencing their adoption
    • Advocate for DevSecOps, emphasizing iterative design with complete automation

    Qualifications:

    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, or Professional Cloud Architect (GCP)
    • Relevant Agile certifications (SCRUM, KANBAN, SAFE, LESS, etc.)
    • Sound and hands-on knowledge of different cloud offerings from various service providers (SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS)
    • Experience in Cloud architecture, particularly Azure (or AWS, GCP)
    • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity and experience in designing solutions
    • Knowledge of cloud integration platforms and tools
    • Strong technical expertise and extensive experience in complex IT environments, covering applications, Middleware, storage, networks, information security
    • Understanding of Cloud Managed Services
    • Familiarity with Cloud development frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and application delivery models
    • Proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris, Ubuntu, etc.)
    • Solid grasp of enterprise networks, security, and identity access management (IAM)
    • Experience with agile methodologies
    • Collaboration with internal and external teams spanning multiple time zones
