You will learn from the best, and work along side the future greats of the gaming industry.We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Technical Animator to join our team at Lighthouse Games.
As a Principal Technical Animator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the animation pipeline and driving excellence in animation quality across our games.
You will lead a team of talented Technical Animators, collaborating closely with artists, designers, and programmers to develop advanced animation systems and push the boundaries of character animation in our games.
Key Duties IncludeLead and mentor a team of Technical Animators, providing guidance, feedback, and support
Establish and enforce animation standards and best practices
Collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to develop advanced animation systems and tools
Create and maintain efficient animation pipelines, ensuring smooth workflow and optimized performance
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in animation technology
Drive innovation and improvement in animation processes and techniques
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure animations meet gameplay and technical requirements
Requirements
Significant experience as a Technical Animator in the games industry
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Animation, or a related field
Expert knowledge of animation software such as Maya, MotionBuilder, and/or 3DS Max
Strong understanding of game engines, including Unity and Unreal Engine
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or C#
Extensive experience with rigging and skinning complex characters
Deep understanding of animation principles and techniques
Proven leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
