    In a Centre of Excellence and a accredited Orthopaedic hub with forward thinking, highly skilled staff, currently providing a Monday to Friday structured service between the hours of 8-7pm with no on-call/bank holiday commitment

    Due to expansion and growth of services, opportunities are available at Wrightington Hospital, for you to join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team as a scrub practitioner, delivering quality patient centred care and patient safety throughout the patient pathway.

    You must be a registered operating department practitioner / registered nurse at Band 5, experience working within the theatre environment is preferable however training is available.

    The ambition and desire to develop your skills within the theater environment is essential.

    Evidence of qualifications will be requested at interview and during onboarding process.

    Main duties of the job

    Our theatre teams also work closely with some of the region's leading consultants and are exposed to the latest innovative, evidence -based clinical techniques. Our real driving force is our ability to invest in our people, as we support our Theater Nurses and ODPs to build their skills through mentoring and formal training such as ALS or ASP.

    On-Call

    Please note that senior positions (AFC band 8A or above) may be expected to participate in an on-call rota, if the role is predominantly operational.

    Key results from the job holder

    The post holder will demonstrate responsibility for:

    Qualifications

    Essential criteria

  • RN 1st Level / HCPC Registered ODP
  • Diploma in specialist Nursing or equivalent DSPN
  • Desirable criteria

  • ENB 998/CG7307/100/Mentorship in practice
  • Degree /Diploma Studies. Specialists Skills Course
  • SFA Part 1 Qualification
  • Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Demonstrate ability as professional role model.
  • Experience of working on own and as a member of a team.
  • Desirable criteria

  • Working knowledge of theatres
  • Experience since qualification
  • Experience in the application of SFA duties.
  • Skills
